Tuscan Chicken Sauce:

  • 350g Chicken fillets
  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 1-2 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter (Makhan)
  • ½ tbsp Chopped garlic (Lehsan)
  • ¼ cup Chopped mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour (Maida)
  • ¼ tsp White pepper powder (Safed mirch)
  • 2 cups Milk (or as needed)
  • ¼ cup Chopped sundried tomatoes
  • 1 cup Chopped baby spinach (Palak)
  • ¼ cup Cream

For Assembling:

  • Tomato or pizza sauce (as needed)
  • 12-15 Lasagna sheets (boiled until ¾ done)
  • 4 tbsp Cheddar cheese (or as needed)
  • 4 tbsp Mozzarella cheese (or as needed)
  • Dried oregano
  • Crushed red chili (Lal mirch)
  • Sundried tomatoes

Step-by-Step Directions to Make Tuscan Chicken Lasagna

Follow these simple steps to prepare a rich and flavorful Tuscan Chicken Lasagna for Iftar. From cooking the creamy chicken filling to layering the lasagna, each step ensures a perfect balance of taste and texture.

Prepare Tuscan Seasoning:

  1. Mix all seasoning ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Prepare Tuscan Chicken Sauce:

  1. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the chicken fillets (reserve 1 tbsp for later).
  2. Heat oil in a cast iron pan, sear chicken until lightly golden on both sides.
  3. Add water, cover, and cook on low flame for 7-8 minutes until tender.
  4. Shred the chicken using forks, then cook for another minute before setting aside.
  5. In a wok, heat oil and butter until melted.

  12. Turn off the flame, add cream and mix. Cook on medium flame for 1-2 minutes, then set aside.

  1. In a baking dish, spread a layer of pizza sauce.
  2. Place lasagna sheets, followed by pizza sauce, prepared Tuscan chicken sauce, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
  3. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used.
  4. Top with dried oregano, crushed red chili, and sundried tomatoes.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
