Bangladesh Likely to Grant NOCs to Players for PSL X

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to grant No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to three of its players—Litton Das, Nahid Rana, and Rishad Hossain—allowing them to participate in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL X), scheduled to take place from April 11 to May 18, 2025.

Shahriar Nafees, the BCB’s cricket operations in-charge, confirmed the board’s positive stance on the matter, stating that the players are likely to receive NOCs, though the duration of their availability will depend on their national commitments. He added that the final decision would be announced within the next one or two days after reviewing the players’ schedules.

Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das was picked by the Karachi Kings in the PSL players’ draft held on January 13. Meanwhile, leg spinner Rishad Hossain was selected by Lahore Qalandars, and young pacer Nahid Rana was drafted by Peshawar Zalmi.

While Rishad Hossain is not currently part of Bangladesh’s red-ball squad and has no international commitments during the PSL window, Litton Das and Nahid Rana are members of the Test team. This could complicate their availability, as Bangladesh is set to host Zimbabwe for a two-match Test series from April 20 to May 2.

Nafees emphasized that the board would carefully consider the players’ national commitments before finalizing the NOCs. “The board will announce its decision after considering their availability within the next one or two days… Rishad has no international matches [as he is not part of Bangladesh’s red-ball squad]. But Litton and Nahid are Test team players. The board will take the decision considering their national commitments in mind,” he explained.
