Punjab University Allows Students to Stay in Hostels During Eid Holidays

The University of the Punjab has announced a relaxation in its hostel closure policy for Eid-ul-Fitr and Spring Recess, allowing students from far-flung areas outside Punjab to stay in their respective hostels under special circumstances.

According to an official notification, all boys’ and girls’ hostels will remain closed from March 28, 2025, after 4:00 PM, until April 7, 2025, with re-entry permitted on April 8. However, students who are unable to return home due to unavoidable circumstances may apply for an exemption.

Such requests must be submitted through their respective departmental heads or hostel wardens.

While the general hostel closure remains in effect, the university has assured that students meeting the criteria will be accommodated. The administration has wished students a safe journey and a blessed Eid and Spring Recess.
