Punjab University has announced the closure of its student hostels for Eid-ul-Fitr and spring break. According to an official notification, all boys’ and girls’ hostels will remain closed from March 28 to April 7.
Students residing in the hostels have been instructed to vacate their rooms by March 28. The decision was taken based on the recommendations of the university’s vice chancellor and the hall council chairman.
Earlier, the Punjab government announced a three-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, scheduled from March 31 to April 2 (Monday to Wednesday).
As per the official notification, public holidays will be observed across the province during this period. However, the final date for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations will depend on the moon sighting.
