Following directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government has launched an initiative to distribute Eid gifts among 40,000 special students enrolled in government institutions.
The move aims to bring joy to children with special needs as they prepare for the festive occasion. Special Assistant to CM Sania Ashiq visited several special education institutions in Lahore, personally handing out gifts on behalf of the chief minister.
The distribution drive began at the Government Degree College of Special Education in Johar Town. It continued at the Government Shadab Institute of Special Education and the Government Degree College for Special Education in Nishtar Town.
During the visits, Sania Ashiq conveyed Eid wishes to the children, who responded with excitement and gratitude. Officials emphasized that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting students with special needs and making Eid celebrations more inclusive.
