Affordable Delight for Pro Gamers – Poco F7 Pro Launches With Flagship Processor, VisionBoost Graphics and More

Following the debut of the F7 Ultra, Poco has introduced the F7 Pro, a high-performance device positioned just below the flagship. While it may not match the Ultra in raw processing power, the F7 Pro still delivers a strong upper midrange experience with modern hardware and software support.

Design and Display

The Poco F7 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports 1,800 nits peak brightness and is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i.

An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrates beneath the display for biometric security. The phone also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, offering protection that aligns with flagship standards. The Poco F7 Pro is offered in black, silver, and blue color variants.

Internals and Software

Powering the F7 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm’s previous-generation flagship chipset. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device also includes Poco’s VisionBoost D7 graphics chip, which assists with resolution upscaling and maintaining consistent frame rates during gaming and HDR media playback.

On the software front, the phone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with support for Google Gemini and Xiaomi’s HyperAI suite. Poco has committed to four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.

Camera

The F7 Pro features a 50MP main camera with the Light Fusion 800 sensor, measuring 1/1.55” with 1.0µm pixels and offering optical image stabilization. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 20MP front-facing camera.  While more basic than the Ultra’s setup, this combination covers standard shooting needs with solid image quality.

Battery and Pricing

The device includes a 6,000mAh battery, slightly smaller than the one found in the Redmi K80, which the F7 Pro is closely based on. The device supports 90W fast charging and Xiaomi’s Surge G1 and Surge P3 chips manage efficient power delivery and long-term battery health.

Pricing starts at $499 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version and $549 for the 12GB + 512GB option. Early-bird sales are open until April 10, with discounts of $50 / €100 / £50 available during the promotional period.
