Redmi 13x Launched Quietly With Refreshed Looks, Same Affordable Price

Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 13x in Vietnam without a formal announcement. While the internal hardware is nearly identical to last year’s Redmi 13 4G, the phone brings a fresh exterior design more in line with the current Redmi Note 14 series.

Design and Display

The Redmi 13x features a large 6.79-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is framed within a slightly updated body design, giving the phone a more modern look. The rear panel has a new camera island layout that reflects the design language seen in Xiaomi’s newer models.

Internals and Software

Powering the device is MediaTek’s Helio G91-Ultra chipset. It is offered in two RAM configurations—6GB and 8GB—both paired with 128GB of internal storage. The Redmi 13x runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS based on Android 14, offering updated UI elements and software features consistent with the latest Redmi phones.

Camera

The rear camera system includes a 108MP main sensor and a 2MP macro lens, placed in a redesigned module. On the front, there is a single selfie camera embedded in the top center of the display, though the resolution of the front camera has not been specified.

Battery and Pricing

The Redmi 13x is equipped with a 5,030mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 dust and splash resistance, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at VND 4,290,000 (around $168), while the 8GB + 128GB version is listed at VND 4,690,000 (around $183). The phone is currently available in Vietnam, with a broader rollout expected soon.
