As the countdown to PSL 10 continues, the Pakistan Cricket Board is once again giving fans a front-row seat to something beyond sixes and wickets—real-life impact. The popular Hamaray Heroes initiative is back, offering cricket lovers a chance to spotlight inspirational Pakistanis making a difference across fields far removed from the boundary ropes.
Running alongside this year’s Pakistan Super League from April 11 to May 18, the campaign invites the public to nominate everyday heroes—those whose work in fields like sports, education, healthcare, technology, social impact, and the arts reflects the true spirit of Pakistan. The nomination window is now open, and fans have until 3 PM on Wednesday, April 9, to put forward names via an online form. From there, a panel at the PCB will carefully select 34 individuals whose contributions will be honored during this milestone tenth edition of the PSL.
Hamary Heroes isn’t just a symbolic pat on the back. The chosen figures will receive cash awards and feature prominently during PSL match days, with their stories told through short documentaries aired on television and shared across all digital platforms tied to the tournament. It’s a chance for fans to not only cheer for their cricketing idols but also for their fellow citizens doing remarkable work off the field.
While the PSL has long been known for discovering cricket talent, Hamaray Heroes reminds us that greatness in Pakistan extends far beyond the pitch. This year, the PCB hopes to once again highlight figures who are making waves in their fields—and often doing so without the limelight they deserve.
With PSL 10 marking a decade of cricketing thrills, the PCB’s decision to continue the Hamaray Heroes initiative underscores a growing commitment to social inclusion and national pride. It’s a reminder that cricket, as powerful as it is, can also serve as a vehicle for much more—unity, visibility, and celebration of those who are lifting Pakistan higher in their own quiet ways.
