The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet made several decisions about the welfare of the general public in the Health, Education, water supply and Public Health, Tourism, Environment, Sanitation, Energy, and Power sectors.
According to an official release issued here on Friday, the marathon meeting of the Cabinet was chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and attended by the cabinet members, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Administrative Secretaries, and Advocate General KP.
The Cabinet approved Rs. 1 Billion as a Supplementary Grant for the Scheme Provision of Free Textbooks and School Bags in Merged Districts and directed the concerned authorities to prepare a scheme for the provision of school bags to all school-going children, starting from out-of-school children being in rolled during the ongoing campaign.
The Cabinet stressed the importance of basic education for children and reiterated their resolve to ensure the provision of basic education facilities to every child of the Province. It was held that on the one hand, the timely printing of textbooks will be ensured while on the other hand, its quality further improved, and efforts made to reduce its costs and also enable the Education Department to clear the outstanding dues on a
