Gold prices continued their upward trajectory on Thursday, setting a new all-time high in Pakistan.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola surged by Rs. 2,000, reaching an all-time high of Rs. 350,000 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 1,715, bringing it to Rs. 300,068.
This new record follows a sharp increase on Wednesday, when gold prices rose by Rs. 8,600 in a single day to hit the then-high of Rs. 348,000 per tola.
The international gold market also saw gains on Thursday, with the global price rising by $19 to $3,329 per ounce (including a premium of $20).
