Private Schools Holiday Announced in Entire City

The All Pakistan Private Schools Association in Rawalpindi has announced that all private educational institutions in the city will remain closed on Saturday in support of a nationwide strike expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine.

In a statement released on Friday, Association President Abrar Khan said the strike is a symbolic gesture to stand with Palestinians facing Israeli aggression. “Our schools will remain closed for a day to join the national voice against the ongoing oppression in Gaza,” he said.

The strike has also been endorsed by business communities in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. All major trader unions, including the Central Traders Association of Rawalpindi, have declared a full market shutdown on Saturday.

Goods transport unions have also joined the call, announcing a halt in operations.
