Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, an upgraded version of the Turbo 4 and the first phone to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It brings a large display, a massive battery, and high-end specs in multiple configurations, including up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Design and Display
The Turbo 4 Pro features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 2,772 x 1,280 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports a peak local brightness of up to 1,600 nits and includes an optical fingerprint scanner underneath. The phone has an IP68 rating, providing strong protection against dust and water. It is available in black, white, and green, and Xiaomi has also announced a Harry Potter edition in collaboration with Warner Bros.
Internals and Software
This is the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It is available in several memory options, with the top configuration offering 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The software is based on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, built on Android 15.
Camera
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP LYT-600 main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera, matching the setup offered on the non-Pro version. There is no mention of a telephoto or macro lens in this version either.
Battery and Pricing
A standout feature is the 7,550mAh silicon-carbon battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging. The device also allows reverse wired charging at up to 22.5W, enabling it to charge other phones or accessories like a power bank.
The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro starts at around $274 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The price of the highest-end version with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is around $411.
