Kuwait Relaxes E-Visa Rules for GCC Expats

Kuwait has revised and clarified the eligibility requirements for its electronic visa (e-visa) system, expanding access to qualified expatriates residing in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This update is part of Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to streamline immigration procedures while upholding security and compliance standards.

Updated Eligibility for GCC Residents

Under the new policy, expatriates living in GCC member states can apply for a Kuwait e-visa if they meet the following conditions:

  • Hold a valid GCC residency for more than six months
  • Possess a passport valid for at least six months from the intended date of entry
  • Work in approved professions, such as:
  1. Doctors
  2. Engineers
