As security tensions continue to mount following India’s recent strike inside Pakistan and the country’s forceful military response, authorities have taken further precautionary steps to protect the public.
According to state broadcaster PTV, the Metro Bus Service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been suspended until Thursday. The decision aims to minimise risks to commuters amid the heightened threat environment.
In parallel, hospitals across the capital — including Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Polyclinic, and others — have been placed on high alert. Health officials confirmed that all staff leaves have been canceled to ensure that emergency services remain fully operational.
These measures come as Pakistan stays vigilant following India’s aggression and the subsequent escalation in military activity along the border.
