Season 10 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) is likely to be suspended due to recent attacks on Pakistani cities.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to officially confirm the news, but a high-level meeting is expected to take place soon to decide the tournament’s fate.
The PCB had earlier announced that PSL 10 would go ahead as scheduled, but that was before reports of Indian drones entering Pakistani airspace over major cities, including one targeting Rawalpindi Food Street, just meters away from Rawalpindi Stadium, where matches are currently scheduled to take place.
The eliminators are set for Lahore, another city where airspace violations were reported.
Both Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings have foreign players in their squads, and the PCB will take no chances with their security.
Airspace was earlier closed for all flights, but with the green light given once again, teams will be hoping to safely send their foreign contingents out of Pakistan.
Further details are awaited, but it seems very likely that PSL 10 will be postponed indefinitely.
