Here’s Every Franchise’s PSL X Squad for the Rest of the Tournament

After a turbulent suspension prompted by rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X is set to resume on May 17, and all six franchises have locked in their squads for the remainder of the year.

Peshawar Zalmi will face Karachi Kings in Rawalpindi to kick off the final leg of the tournament, which was paused on May 7 after 26 matches. The resumption follows a ceasefire agreement that allowed both the PSL and IPL to continue. However, the aftermath of a hasty foreign player evacuation continues to impact team compositions.

A “significant” number of overseas cricketers have chosen not to return to either league due to safety concerns, as reported by ESPNCricinfo, forcing franchises to reshuffle squads. Some high-profile names like David Warner, Tim Seifert, Mohammad Nabi, and Alex Hales have confirmed their participation, while others such as Max Bryant and Rishad Hossain remain doubtful.

With the PSL X playoffs just around the corner, franchise adaptability will be critical. While some teams like Islamabad and Quetta boast nearly full-strength squads, others—like Peshawar and Lahore—must wait on last-minute confirmations.

After a tense pause, the cricket is back. But the uncertainty that lingers off the field may yet shape the storylines on it.
