Anam Sher Khan, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) from Pakistan, was honored with the Criminal Investigation Award 2025 for her exceptional investigative achievements, as reported by 24News channel on Saturday. The award ceremony took place at Dubai World Trade Center, where she was conferred the international accolade by the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
ASP Anam Sher Khan received recognition for her exemplary leadership and investigative prowess, which elevated Pakistan’s law enforcement reputation globally. Her notable contributions included overseeing the successful resolution of two high-profile murder cases in Punjab province. In one instance, she supervised the investigation into the tragic death of Ayesha Bibi, a 12-year-old domestic worker, resulting in the swift apprehension of suspects within 72 hours. This achievement garnered widespread acclaim from the public and government officials, including the Punjab Chief Minister.
Additionally, Anam Sher Khan led the rapid arrest of individuals involved in the murder of Mohsin, ensuring swift justice within a remarkable 24-hour timeframe. These cases underscored not only her expertise in investigative procedures but also her unwavering commitment to timely and equitable justice. Her leadership had previously earned official commendation from the Punjab Police.
Inspector-General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized that Anam Sher Khan’s selection for this prestigious international award reflects a significant honor for Pakistan’s law enforcement. The Award Committee rigorously evaluated candidates from the Punjab Police before recognizing her achievements. In a separate category, DPO Kasur Mohammad Esa Khan was also honored with the “Best Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Policing Award”.
The participation of police officials from 192 countries in the awards ceremony highlighted Pakistan’s positive global image, as noted by the Inspector-General of Police, who commended both recipients for their contributions.
