NTDC Announces Paid Internship Program for Girls

The National Grid Company (NGC), formerly known as NTDC, has announced the launch of its “Grid Girls” Internship Program 2025 — a fully paid internship initiative designed exclusively for women in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Empowering Future Female Engineers

This program aims to provide hands-on experience to female students pursuing degrees in Electrical and Civil Engineering. Participants will gain exposure to real-world engineering projects and leadership development opportunities.

Program Benefits

Selected interns will receive:

  • Practical work experience

  • Coaching and mentorship
  • Training and development sessions
  • Opportunities to work on national-level projects
  • A stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to:

  • Female students enrolled in Bachelors, Masters, or DAE programs in Electrical, Electronics, or Civil Engineering
  • Recent graduates from the above fields
  • Candidates with prior research or internship experience
  • Applicants who can commit to a full-time internship

Internship Structure

Cohort 1:

  • Duration: 2 months
  • For: 3rd-year undergraduates (5th/6th semester) and Master’s students (1st/2nd semester)
  • Focus: Hands-on experience at national engineering projects

Cohort 2:

  • Duration: 1 month (overlaps with Cohort 1)
  • For: Undergraduates in 2nd semester to final year, including eligible TVET students
  • Focus: Exploratory and learning-based experience
