The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has given the green light to a new life insurance scheme aimed at providing financial support to citizens.
According to KP Information Advisor Barrister Saif, the provincial cabinet has approved the launch of the life insurance program, which is expected to cost approximately Rs 4.5 billion annually.
He explained that in the event of the death of a household’s head, the family will receive immediate financial assistance.
Under the scheme, families of deceased heads of households under the age of 60 will receive Rs 1 million, while families of those over 60 years of age will be provided Rs 500,000.
