The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is set to roll out new housing projects across 13 major Pakistani cities following the approval of the “JV and PPP Rules 2025.”
According to officials, the move is aimed at tackling the growing demand for affordable housing—especially for federal government employees. The new regulations are designed to make joint ventures with private sector partners more attractive by ensuring better protection for investors and developers.
Cities targeted for these projects include Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Hyderabad, Abbottabad, Gujranwala, and Karachi.
FGEHA has already received a strong response from potential investors. Expressions of interest (EOIs) have been invited from developers, landowners, corporate bodies, and eligible individuals, with the deadline set for June 30, 2025.
Officials noted that previous attempts to execute such projects under the “JV and PPP Rules 2020” failed due to weak investor protection. However, they claim the revised 2025 version addresses those gaps, boosting confidence in the upcoming developments.
