Over 5,000 Citizens Arrested for Breaking These Five Traffic Rules in Lahore

Lahore Traffic Police have intensified their crackdown on traffic violations, arresting 5,164 individuals over the past 11 days for five major offenses.

According to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, 2,828 people were arrested for driving the wrong way on one-way roads. In addition, 1,266 drivers were taken into custody for overloading their vehicles.

Police also launched operations against unregistered and cart-like rickshaws, arresting 140 individuals. Another 877 people were apprehended during anti-encroachment drives across the city.

Furthermore, 53 individuals have been charged for underage driving and other serious traffic offenses.

The CTO stated that strict enforcement of traffic laws is essential to reduce accidents and improve road safety for all citizens.
