Private Schools Stopped From Collecting Advance Fee

The Rawalpindi District Education Authority (DEA) has directed all public and private schools to follow the summer vacation schedule issued by the Punjab government, starting from May 28 to August 14.

In an official letter, DEA Chief Executive Officer Amanullah made it clear that no school is allowed to collect advance fees for the entire summer. All private schools must collect only one month’s fee at a time, following the rules set by the School Education Department.

The letter also stated that schools will remain closed for regular academic activities during this time. No exams or summer camps are allowed. Teaching staff will also be on holiday and not permitted to attend school. Only administrative staff may be present for office work.

However, schools are allowed to call students only for Youm-i-Takbeer observance.

The DEA warned that any violation of these instructions will be considered non-compliance with government orders and may lead to disciplinary action.

Officials said the step aims to protect students from extreme heat and ensure their well-being. They also urged school owners to cooperate and provide a stress-free learning environment.

Parents have been advised to report any cases of unlawful fee collection or activities during the holidays to the concerned education authority.
