The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called in 22 of the country’s best white-ball players for a special training camp that will take place from June 3 to 5. The camp, set to be held in three sessions, is reportedly part of Mike Hesson’s plan to instill his coaching philosophies into the nation’s best white-ball players.
The New Zealand coach has only worked with the T20I stars thus far after taking over coaching duties last month, and this camp aims to familiarize the talent pool with his plans.
Among the players attending the camp are star names like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. They will be joined by a mix of experienced and young talent, including several top performers from the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
According to local media sources, the PCB will also use this training camp to closely assess the fitness levels and recent performances of the players while mapping out Pakistan’s plans for the months ahead in white-ball cricket.
Players will be split into three groups across the three days, but the senior trio—Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen—are expected to attend all sessions, highlighting the importance of their leadership and presence.
| Babar Azam | Mohammad Rizwan | Shaheen Shah Afridi | Naseem Shah | Usman Khan |

PCB’s training camp comes at a time when Pakistan cricket is aiming to rebuild and move forward with a sharper focus on performance, fitness, and planning. After a long wait, the recent series win at home against Bangladesh gave the team much-needed confidence. Now, as Pakistan prepares to return to Bangladesh for another T20 series next month, this camp will help the team stay sharp and ready.
As Mike Hesson looks to build on a perfect start, the PCB will be hoping that this training camp can help fuel their success further.
