The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed that the national selection committee remains unchanged, with only one adjustment made to its support staff. In a statement released today, the PCB clarified that the committee’s structure is intact, and the only modification is the replacement of the data analyst.
Hassan Cheema, who previously served as the data analyst, has been replaced by Usman Hashmi. The PCB emphasized that the data analyst’s role is strictly advisory, with no voting rights in the selection process. Usman Hashmi will now assist the committee by providing analytical support and insights, but will not participate in final team decisions.
National Selection Committee
The current members of the national selection committee are:
| Aqib Javed | Aleem Dar |
| Asad Shafiq | Azhar Ali |
The PCB spokesperson reiterated that the committee is required to consult with the head coach and the captain of the relevant format before finalizing any squad.
This announcement comes amid ongoing speculation about broader changes within Pakistan cricket, but the PCB has made it clear that, for now, the selection panel’s core remains stable, with only the data analyst position seeing a change.
