5 Pakistani Cities Are Among Hottest Places on Earth Today

Pakistan is feeling the heat—quite literally. Today, five Pakistani cities have been ranked among the top 15 hottest places on Earth.

Jacobabad leads the pack, registering a scorching 49°C. Other Pakistani cities on the list include Sibi, Jhelum, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ismail Khan, all enduring temperatures above 46°C.

Yesterday, Islamabad recorded one of its hottest days in history as the temperature jumped to 45°C. The record for the hottest day in Islamabad was set on June 21, 1994, as the temperature rose to 46.6°C.

On Tuesday, Lahore experienced 46°C. This marked one of the highest temperatures recorded in the city in years. The last major record was set in 2007, when the temperature at Lahore Airport peaked at 48°C.
