Much-Needed Rainfall Predicted as Intense Heat Sizzles Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather across most parts of the country over the coming days, with very hot conditions expected in plain areas. However, isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms are likely in specific upper regions.

Hot and dry weather is expected in most areas, while plain regions may experience very hot conditions. Isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Saturday, 14 June

Similar hot and dry conditions will prevail nationwide. Isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecast in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, northeast Balochistan, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The weather will remain largely hot and dry across most parts of the country. However, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Tuesday, 17 June

The forecast indicates very hot and dry weather across most areas. Dust-raising or gusty winds may occur in the plains during the afternoon.

The PMD has advised the public to take precautions as the heat continues to intensify across the country.
