Honest Father Brings Escaped Son Back to Jail

A father voluntarily returned his escaped prisoner son, Ali Raza, to Malir Jail authorities on Thursday. Ali Raza was among the inmates who fled during the recent jailbreak at Malir Jail.

Jail officials confirmed that the father personally handed over his son, stating, “I am a law-abiding citizen, and that is why I brought my son back.” Ali Raza told authorities that several inmates had worked together to break open the locks of multiple barracks during the escape. “They broke the lock of our barrack as well,” he explained.

Investigators revealed that the jailbreak began with the breach of the juvenile barracks, after which inmates proceeded to unlock several others. At the time, only two guards were on duty to supervise 12 barracks, making it impossible to control the situation.

Authorities noted that none of the returning inmates have reported any mistreatment or abuse since coming back to Malir Jail. The inquiry into the jailbreak is ongoing.

This incident follows another recent case where a mother, showing similar courage and responsibility, persuaded her escaped son to return to jail and personally handed him over to the authorities. She pleaded with police for forgiveness, saying, “My son made a mistake, but I brought him back myself. Please don’t harm him.”

Both cases have drawn attention for the families’ sense of responsibility and the emotional scenes outside Malir Jail, as the investigation into the jailbreak continues.
