Another Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing

An Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, en route to New Delhi, was forced to return to Hong Kong on Monday after the pilot reported a suspected technical issue mid-flight, according to a source familiar with the situation, as reported by Reuters.

This incident occurred shortly after two other troubling episodes involving the same aircraft model. Just days earlier, an Air India flight bound for London crashed in Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff, claiming 241 lives out of 242 passengers. Another Dreamliner faced a separate emergency, making an unplanned landing in Thailand the following day.

The aircraft involved in Monday’s incident, operating as flight AI315, took off from Hong Kong at 12:16 p.m. and returned a little over an hour later, according to data from Flightradar24. The plane is currently undergoing inspection.

Neither Boeing nor Air India has provided an official statement regarding the Hong Kong–New Delhi flight as of now
