Pakistan Off to a Winning Start at AVC Nations Cup 2025

Pakistan’s national men’s volleyball team is off to a confident start at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 in Bahrain, registering a 3-1 win over the Philippines in their first group stage encounter. The result keeps the Green Shirts, placed in Pool C, on track for a place in the knockout rounds.

From the very first whistle, Pakistan came out with purpose and precision, claiming the first two sets with authority—25-18 and 25-12. Their early momentum was built on a strong defensive shape and clinical attacking, as the team put the Philippines under consistent pressure.

A brief dip in rhythm allowed the Philippines to take the third set 25-18, capitalizing on a handful of unforced errors from Pakistan. But instead of letting the slip affect their confidence, the men in green responded with renewed focus. The fourth set saw both teams push hard, but Pakistan held their nerve to close out the match 25-22.
