In a major step towards international academic collaboration, ten leading universities from South Korea will offer scholarships to students of the University of Home Economics (UHE), Lahore.
The announcement was made by Punjab’s Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Rana Sikandar Hayat. These scholarships will enable UHE students to pursue higher education in cutting-edge fields such as Aesthetics, Robotic Arms, and Aviation.
This initiative is part of the Punjab Government’s vision to strengthen global academic ties and create meaningful opportunities for students.
UHE Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain thanked the Chief Minister and the Minister for Higher Education for recognizing the capabilities of UHE students and supporting their international exposure.
She called the initiative a major milestone that opens new avenues for academic excellence and international engagement for the university.
The development follows a recent visit by a delegation of South Korean universities to UHE, where they interacted with faculty and students, exploring future possibilities for collaboration.
This partnership is expected to enhance research opportunities, foster innovation, and bring global recognition to Pakistan’s academic talent.
