Atlas Honda Limited (PSX: ATLH) has announced plans to launch an electric scooter in Pakistan, following the government’s introduction of the National Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy.
In a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday, the company stated that the electric scooter will be specifically designed for local consumers. Atlas Honda is currently working with regulatory authorities to obtain the necessary approvals and permissions for the rollout.
The company added that the launch will proceed after the successful completion of quality assurance and road testing processes.
The Company is a subsidiary of Shirazi Investments (Private) Limited, which holds 52.43 percent of the issued, subscribed, and paid-up capital of the Company as at March 31, 2021.
