Karachi police have arrested a woman identified as Babra, also known as Bebo, for her alleged involvement in supplying drugs to young citizens in different areas of the city. The South Darakhshan District Police confirmed the arrest and are continuing investigations into a wider drug network.
Babra, a resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, initially gained attention in 2007 as a model and later as a TikTok personality. According to exclusive interrogation details obtained by City 21, she completed her education up to the intermediate level and entered the entertainment industry shortly afterward.
Authorities reported that Babra faced a turbulent family life, including her parents’ divorce and her mother’s remarriage in 2017. She allegedly experienced daily disputes in her stepfather’s home, which led her to move to an apartment in Muslim Commercial. There, she continued her modeling work and expanded her social media presence, gaining popularity on TikTok.
Despite her public image, police say Babra was leading a double life. She began attending private parties in upscale neighborhoods, where she was introduced to drugs including crystal meth (commonly known as “ice”) and cocaine. Over time, she reportedly developed an addiction and began distributing drugs at these gatherings and through personal contacts.
During police interrogation, Babra admitted to drug use and confessed to her role in supplying narcotics in areas such as Defence. She also acknowledged that she had been previously arrested twice and admitted to theft. Her operations allegedly included delivering drugs to private events and clients in elite social circles.
Police officials stated that surveillance will be increased at private parties, and digital platforms will be monitored for potential abuse by influencers. Further arrests may follow as investigations continue into Babra’s network and associates.
Her parents are solely responsible for their acts. She suffered all this due to he broken family. If her parents had compromised for not being divorced, today they would have been a happy family with her a good character and educated lady.
