Pakistan Shaheens are gearing up to test their mettle once again on Australian soil, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed the team’s participation in the upcoming Top End T20 Series in Darwin this August.
This will be the third straight year that the Shaheens feature in the popular regional competition, which has quickly become a proving ground for the next generation of cricketers.
The 2025 edition of the Top End T20 will run from 14 to 24 August, bringing together 11 sides and featuring 36 matches across five venues, including TIO Stadium, Gardens Oval, DXC Arena, Cazaly’s Arena, and Freds Pass. The Shaheens will open their campaign against Bangladesh ‘A’ on 14 August at the TIO Stadium—a fixture likely to attract significant interest given the rivalry and shared developmental goals between the two boards.
The complete schedule of Pakistan Shaheens’ Top End T20 matches will be released in due course.
The Shaheens will be hoping to go a step further this time after strong showings in their past visits—qualifying for the final in 2023 and reaching the semi-finals last year. While the squad for the tour will be announced closer to the departure date, it is expected that many of Pakistan’s emerging names will be given an opportunity to stake their claims.
For Pakistan, this tour is about more than results—it is another chapter in building a pipeline of talent ready for the demands of international cricket. As the countdown begins, the Shaheens will aim to combine experience and youthful energy to make their presence felt in Darwin once more.
