Vehicle Emission Testing Stopped for 4 Days

The Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has officially announced that all Vehicle Emission Testing System (ETS) booths across Punjab will remain closed from July 4 to July 7, 2025, in observance of Ashura.

The announcement was made through the department’s official Facebook page, informing the public that ETS operations will be fully restored on July 8, 2025.

Motorists are advised to plan their visits accordingly and avoid visiting ETS booths during the mentioned dates.

Recently, the department decided to include heavy vehicles in its free vehicle emission testing campaign.

EPA squads will test heavy vehicles lacking a valid Vehicle Inspection and Certification System (VICS) certificate. Such vehicles will get a one-week grace period to obtain the required document.
