Broiler chicken meat prices in Lahore have surged once more, with a fresh increase of Rs. 21 per kilogram recorded on Thursday.
The new price for broiler chicken meat now stands at Rs. 482 per kilogram.
This marks a total increase of Rs. 58 over the past two days, reflecting ongoing volatility in the poultry market.
The price of live broiler chicken has also climbed. The wholesale rate has reached Rs. 319 per kilogram, while the retail rate is now Rs. 333 per kilogram.
Market sources attribute the price hike to supply chain disruptions and increased demand, though no official statement has been issued by the relevant authorities.
Consumers and retailers alike are feeling the impact of these rapid price changes, which have made broiler chicken less affordable for many households in the city.
