The incident took place in Basirpur, a town in Depalpur Tehsil of Okara District, Punjab.
The teacher, identified as Qari Asad, can be seen in the footage placing his hand on the girl’s thigh and rubbing it while she sits beside him.
Local authorities responded swiftly to the public outcry. According to reports, Qari Asad has been arrested by the Basirpur police.
The video, originally shared on X (formerly Twitter), quickly gained traction and sparked widespread outrage across social media.
People expressed their anger and demanded strict action against the accused. One user wrote, “This filthy mullah should be caught and hanged in the square.”

Another comment highlighted the hypocrisy of some religious figures, stating, “These are the people who object to the mourning processions and the veneration of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him)… But when people see their actions, humanity itself feels ashamed. This wretched, vile person who commits such indecent, despicable acts with innocent children.”
