Lahore Parking Company Employee Accused of Stealing Over Rs. 12 Million

Serious financial irregularities have surfaced at the Lahore Parking Company, where Assistant Manager Zone 2, Sajjad Hussain, is accused of stealing Rs. 12.4 million.

According to the company’s initial report, Hussain failed to submit 3,042 motorcycle parking slips and 1,372 vehicle parking slips, all of which were linked to parking fee income.

Despite repeated reminders and formal notices, Sajjad Hussain has neither provided the missing slips nor offered any explanation for the missing funds. The company had officially sought an explanation last month, but no response has been received to date.

Lahore Parking Company CEO Naveedul Islam Work stated that the matter will be presented before the HR Committee, and a special audit will be conducted to investigate the embezzlement.

He assured that, based on the HR Committee’s recommendations, strict action will be taken against any officers found guilty.

This incident comes amid broader concerns about financial mismanagement and illegal practices within the Lahore Parking Company.

Recent reports have highlighted declining revenues, widespread overcharging, and the proliferation of unauthorized parking stands across the city.

The company has faced criticism for failing to increase income despite a growing number of vehicles and has recently penalized dozens of staff for overcharging and running illegal parking sites.

A comprehensive audit and restructuring of the company are expected as authorities move to address these ongoing issues and restore public trust.
