In a significant step toward transforming the electric vehicle (EV) market in Pakistan, Capital Smart Motors (CSM) is gearing up to launch the all-electric JMEV Elight sedan.
The company has been teasing the car on social media, with recent posts describing it as a “coupe-inspired” vehicle with a “futuristic silhouette” and promising that it’s “coming soon to Pakistan.”
The Elight is known for its ultra-sleek design, aerodynamic body with a drag coefficient of just 0.267Cd, and premium aesthetics that combine ecological inspiration with advanced functionality.
According to international specs listed on the JMEV website, the Elight features:
- Adaptive LED headlamps with intelligent high/low beam adjustment
- Retractable electric door handles
- A lightweight steel-aluminum hybrid body for improved performance and safety
The car is expected to be an ideal fit for urban consumers in Pakistan seeking clean, efficient, and stylish transportation.
It is pertinent to mention that Capital Smart Motors signed an MoU in April 2025 with Chinese automotive giant Geely, marking the start of a strategic partnership to bring premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brands to Pakistan.
Under the agreement, CSM will introduce: Geely Zeekr, Geely Riddara and Geely Farizon.
