China has expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with Pakistan in agriculture, industry, and mining, reported Reuters.
This was announced in an official statement issued after a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Tianjin on Wednesday.
Wang Yi also reaffirmed China’s support for Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts and expressed confidence that Pakistan would take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions operating in the country.
In June 2025, the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade began efforts to attract Chinese money in local mineral processing and expand copper ore exports.
It bears mentioning that Pakistan currently exports roughly $1.2 billion worth of copper to China every year.
