The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has extended the electricity bill payment deadline for approximately 53,000 tube well consumers by 10 days. The extension comes in response to ongoing financial challenges faced by the agricultural community, particularly during crop cycles when cash flow becomes limited.
Under the new directive, tube well consumers can pay their bills without incurring any late payment surcharges within the extended grace period. FESCO has updated the bill records to reflect the revised due dates, and customers can access the information through the company’s online billing platform.
This is not the first time FESCO has granted such an extension. In May 2025, the utility provided a similar 10-day relief period for tube well owners, citing the need to support farmers during critical stages of agricultural production.
Officials stated that the measure is part of a broader understanding of the financial strain placed on farmers during peak agricultural activity. The extension is intended to help maintain uninterrupted farming operations and reduce the risk of disconnections caused by payment delays.
FESCO has encouraged eligible consumers to take advantage of the extension by checking their updated bills online and completing payment within the revised timeframe.
