Profit Repatriation Down by Over 72% in June 2025

The repatriation of profits and dividends from foreign investments in Pakistan decreased by 72.4 percent to $114.2 million in June 2025, according to latest data by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

On a month-on-month basis, the repatriation of profits and dividends in Pakistan decreased by -56.7 percent.

In FY25, this figure saw a rise of 0.2 percent YoY to reach $2.219 billion compared to $2.215 billion in FY24.

The Power sector experienced the largest outflow of profits and dividends in FY25, reaching $398.9 million, a 62 percent increase from the previous year, according to SBP data.

The Financial Business sector followed with $385.2 million in repatriations, and the Food sector came in third with $306.1 million in outflows during the period in review.
