BYD has introduced the Shark 6 PHEV in Pakistan, marking the country’s first plug-in hybrid pickup. The launch should expand the alternatives available in Pakistan for traditional fuel-powered vehicles, particularly in the utility and light truck segment.
The BYD Shark 6 enters a space long dominated by diesel-powered models like the Toyota Hilux. This plug-in hybrid offers a combined power output of 321 kW and 650 Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. The vehicle provides an electric-only range of 100 km and a total hybrid range of up to 800 km, supported by a 29.58 kWh BYD Blade Battery.
