Cloudburst in Naran Temporarily Blocks Lake Saif-ul-Malook Road

A sudden cloudburst in Naran, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, caused a blockage on the road leading to the famous Lake Saif-ul-Malook, leaving hundreds of tourists stranded. Thanks to swift action by local authorities, more than 500 visitors were successfully rescued and moved to safety.

According to reports, the road was rendered impassable due to the downpour, but prompt coordination between the Kaghan Development Authority, Tourism Police, and Rescue teams ensured a rapid response. Emergency efforts cleared the path, restoring access for over 117 jeeps carrying tourists.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Secretary of Tourism, Dr. Abdul Samad, confirmed that the provincial tourism department is actively working to safeguard visitors. He encouraged tourists to use the tourism helpline 1422 for immediate assistance in case of emergencies.

He added that the Kaghan Development Authority deployed heavy machinery to remove debris and restore traffic flow on the blocked route.
