OnePlus has introduced the Pad Lite, a new budget tablet designed to deliver essential features at an accessible price point. The device has arrived in the international market, but should hopefully launch locally soon, though there is no official confirmation yet.
Design and Display
The Pad Lite features an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display supports 10-bit color, reaches up to 500 nits of brightness, and is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light emission and flicker reduction. A quad-speaker setup with Hi-Res Audio support is built into enhance the media playback experience. The device is offered in a single color option, Aero Blue.
Internals and Software
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Helio G100 processor, suitable for basic multitasking and media consumption. The Pad Lite runs Android 15 with OxygenOS 15.0.1 on top, offering features such as split-screen multitasking, screen mirroring, and cross-device content sharing. The tablet includes a dedicated Kids Mode and is preinstalled with Google Kids Space, giving parents greater control over content and screen time for their children.
Cameras
For imaging, the tablet comes equipped with a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls and a 5MP rear camera for standard photos and scanning. The camera system is modest and tailored for casual, utility-driven use, since it’s only a budget tablet.
Battery and Pricing
The Pad Lite houses a 9,340 mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging through a USB-C port. According to OnePlus, the tablet can deliver up to 80 hours of music playback and 11 hours of video streaming. The Wi-Fi-only model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at approximately $190, while the LTE variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced around $215.
