Internet users across Pakistan are currently experiencing slowdowns and service disruptions, with multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including Nayatel and PTCL, confirming widespread connectivity issues.
According to an email issued by Nayatel’s Technical Assistance Center, the disruptions come from multiple issues affecting both international traffic and access to several key services:
- Eastbound Internet Traffic: Slower speeds and unstable connections are linked to one of Nayatel’s upstream providers, affecting international traffic routes.
- Microsoft Services Outage: Apps such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive are also experiencing nationwide outages.
- Cloudflare Hosted Services: Several websites and applications that rely on Cloudflare’s infrastructure are either slow or completely unreachable.
Nayatel also clarified that these issues are separate but still overlapping, which has made the problem worse for users across the country. Other ISPs have also reported similar issues, indicating that the disruptions are not isolated to a single provider.
Technical teams from ISPs and affected service providers are actively working to diagnose and resolve the problems. However, as of now, no official timeline has been provided for when these issues will be fixed.

Only excuses, rest of the world is using internet with excellent quality and speedy too.
Incompetent and unqualified people are being hired to run the internet operations in government. This points to a pervasive issue of corruption and illiteracy from the top down.
Government is busy installing firewall which made internet speed worse in recent times. While the other countries enjoy 5g we regressed to the era of 2G.
You forgot to mention the elephant in the room and their firewall…..

In PTI’s era, Pakistan was heading the Universe, not only Earth. The utter BS that has been nurtured in the brains of the masses has led to only one thing; “Blaming.”

Internet slowe
– The Minister for IT & Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, recently stated, “The usage of VPN has made our network speed slow.”
– According to recent reports, China has transitioned to 10G networks, whereas Pakistan still relies on outdated 4G, which in many areas functions more like 2G.
– Shaza Fatima Khawaja holds a degree from the University of Warwick, UK.
– Many industry professionals and freelancers express concern about the lack of progress in Pakistan’s IT & Telecom sector over the last decade, with merit often taking a back seat to political connections.
– Despite a growing freelance community, Pakistan still lacks reliable, long-term solutions for international payments—only short-term methods exist, causing ongoing frustration.
– This raises a pressing question for politicians and relevant authorities: When will there be genuine reforms and sustained growth in the IT & Telecom industry, instead of mere maintenance of official privileges?
I don’t care why this is happening but I am facing a large disruption in my online classes with internation courses who is accountable for my loss
