Pakistan’s Tekken sensation Arslan Ash once again proved why he is considered the undisputed king of the global fighting game scene, capturing his sixth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title with a flawless campaign in Las Vegas.
The Twisted Minds star defeated compatriot and rising Tekken powerhouse Atif Butt in an all-Pakistan Grand Final, walking away with the $12,000 winner’s prize and another 800 tour points to his already legendary resume.
The two Pakistani juggernauts, Arslan Ash and Atif, stole the spotlight at EVO 2025, dismantling the best the world had to offer en route to a showdown that felt as inevitable as it was electrifying. With Arslan battling through the upper bracket and Atif storming through the lower bracket, the final turned into a masterclass of Pakistani fundamentals and adaptation, but it was Arslan’s composure and unmatched spacing that proved decisive in a 3-1 Grand Final win after dropping the first set.
EVO 2025’s final standings underscored the growing power shift in the Tekken world. Pakistan’s one-two finish was backed by Japan’s Chikurin (3rd, $4,500) and South Korea’s Mulgold (4th, $3,000), with LowHigh, NOBI, Meo-IL, and JDCR rounding out the top eight.
The prize pool of $30,000 USD was split among the top 8 as follows:
| Place | Player | Country | Character | Prize | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | Arslan Ash | Pakistan | Anna, Nina | $12,000 | 800 |
| 2nd | Atif | Pakistan | Anna | $6,000 | 560 |
| 3rd | chikurin | Japan | Clive | $4,500 | 400 |
| 4th | Mulgold | South Korea | Claudio | $3,000 | 300 |
| 5th | LowHigh | South Korea | Bryan | $1,800 | 220 |
| 5th | NOBI | Japan | Lars | $1,800 | 220 |
| 7th | Meo-IL | South Korea | Jack-8 | $450 | 180 |
| 7th | JDCR | South Korea | Dragunov | $450 | 180 |
This title further solidifies Arslan Ash’s status as one of the greatest fighting game players in history. With six EVO titles now to his name—across both Tekken 7 and Tekken 8—he has not only dominated his peers but lifted an entire nation onto the esports map. And with Atif proving himself on the grandest stage as well, Pakistan now has two generational stars capable of dominating the scene.
It’s a golden age for Pakistani Tekken, and the rest of the world is still playing catch-up.
