Public Holiday Announced in Entire Sindh District

The district administration of Sujawal has declared a public holiday on Tuesday, August 12, to mark the annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint Shah Inayat Shaheed.

A formal notification was issued by Deputy Commissioner Zahid Hussain, confirming the closure of all government and semi-government offices, schools, colleges, and local municipal departments across the district.

The Urs will be officially inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Zakat, Ushr, Auqaf, and Religious Affairs, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Sherazi. The commemoration at Shah Inayat’s shrine will feature various religious and cultural activities, including spiritual gatherings, Sufi music performances, and poetry recitations.

A large number of devotees and followers from across Sindh are expected to attend. Shah Inayat Shaheed is remembered as a spiritual leader, poet, and a champion of social justice. His message of love, equality, and compassion continues to inspire generations.

Security and logistical arrangements have been made to ensure smooth proceedings during the three-day Urs, with local authorities coordinating efforts to accommodate the influx of visitors and maintain public safety.
