Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a major initiative worth Rs. 100 billion in interest-free loans aimed at supporting wheat growers across the province.
During a high-level meeting, she called for a detailed strategy to boost wheat production and ease the financial burden on farmers.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need to lower the costs of agricultural inputs ahead of the wheat sowing season. She instructed officials to guarantee an adequate supply of fertilizer and to extend targeted subsidies to small-scale wheat farmers.
The meeting endorsed the plan to roll out interest-free loans totaling Rs. 100 billion prior to the start of wheat cultivation.
Maryam Nawaz assured that wheat farmers would receive comprehensive government backing, reaffirming that Punjab’s agricultural community enjoys robust support and resources from the provincial administration.
