Bahria Town Residents’ Properties and Investments are Safe: NAB

Despite ongoing legal proceedings against Bahria Town, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has assured that the residents’ assets remain safe in the town.

In a statement released on Monday, the bureau dismissed social media claims suggesting residents could lose their properties, calling them part of “a deep conspiracy” by certain groups seeking to acquire assets at unfairly low prices.

NAB clarified that its action is strictly focused on properties owned directly by Bahria Town and does not extend to homes purchased by individual owners.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has pledged to fully safeguard the rights of Bahria Town residents, urging them to carry on with their daily lives without fear.

In its statement, the bureau vowed to press ahead with its legal proceedings without yielding to any pressure, stressing that the process will continue until “the looted money is returned” under the court-approved plea bargain mechanism.

The case is tied to NAB’s ongoing auctions of Bahria Town assets connected to the £190 million reference involving PTI founder Imran Khan and others. The auctions are being conducted to recover pending dues in line with the settlement agreement.

  • Aoa, District government yesterday has sealed BTR head office for non compliance of Dengue SOPs. While the head office is closed the residence may now face the closure of services such as water, power, maintenance, garbage collection etc. I don’t see a good reason of sealing the head office where services to residence are being provided. I appeal to authorities to please unseal the head office and let the employees perform their routine duties.
