The provincial cabinet has given the green light for the construction of six underground parking plazas in the inner city, with an estimated total cost of Rs. 31.5 billion.
As per the details, the Mochi Gate Underground Parking Plaza will be developed at a cost of Rs. 5.2 billion, while the Sheran Wala Gate Parking Plaza is set to cost Rs. 8 billion. Similarly, the Taxili Gate Parking Plaza will require Rs. 5.2 billion, and the Delhi Gate Underground Parking Plaza will be completed for Rs. 6 billion.
Additionally, the Bhati Gate Underground Parking Plaza will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 billion, and the Shah Alam Gate Underground Parking Plaza will cost Rs. 5.2 billion.
These projects will be executed by the C&W Department, with the primary objective of addressing traffic congestion and parking challenges in the inner city.
